John and Nichole’s Wedding in Historic Downtown Fernandina Beach

Chatting over our dinner at Café Karibo, Jenn and I expressed how much we enjoyed this small, intimate wedding between John and Nichole. The guests and bridal party were some of the most joyful people I have been around on a wedding day! It was a breath of fresh air and it reminded me why I LOVE shooting weddings, especially weddings that are as wonderful as this one!

The Florida House Inn in Fernandina Beach was the perfect setting to capture the bridal party and their joy to be such a meaningful part of John and Nichole’s wedding day. These men and women were hand-picked as some of the closest people in John and Nichole’s lives, and that is no small thing! Although, not everyone could be there and while I’m sure it was a disappointment, Nichole didn’t miss a beat. She may have been one of the most relaxed bride’s that I’ve met! (and giggly too! haha)

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was the sand ceremony, signifying the uniting of two families. and as John said so well in his vows, ” I am not only marrying you, but I am marrying your children also. ” Please don’t quote me on that, but it was SO sweet and I’m sure brought tears into the eyes of more than just me!

The details were subtle, yet intentional and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. The feminine touches of purples and pinks brought the beauty of the day together, without distracting from Nichole’s gorgeous dress.

Most of all, John and Nichole.. in their kindness, made me feel like I was one of their most cherished friends on their wedding day. I have no doubt that each and every guest at the Coleman wedding felt the same way.
