A dreamy, intimate wedding along the cliffs of Crooked River State Park, St. Mary’s Georgia

It’s hard to believe that November is already here and wedding season is in full swing! November 2nd was unusually warm – it felt like a breezy summer day (which keeps the gnats AWAY. IYKYK.). Rest assured, Darrell and Morgan thought of everything they possibly could to keep their guests comfortable. The ceremony site was nestled right under the iconic gigantic oak trees of South Georgia that gave shade to all of the family and friends that came to witness the union of this perfect pair.

Let me tell you something, I’m not just being cute and clever when I say perfect pair – these two just KILL me with their endless amounts of laughter and joy. It almost feels like they are in a world of their own, warming the encompassing everyone near with their sweet smiles and stolen glances at one another. I don’t think I’ve witnessed a ceremony as joyful as this one in a LONG time. So many laughs! You’ll see as you scroll. It’s undeniable!

Guests came from FAR.. I mean, really far.. for Darrell and Morgan’s wedding day at Crooked River State Park. Conversations mingled among guests, sharing stories of flights beginning from Canada, all the way into Jacksonville, Florida. I just LOVED the location choice that the couple made because their family and friends truly got to experience the scenery that we have grown to love dearly in Southern Georgia – the coastal views, the majestic oaks, and the warm air mixed with a salty ocean breeze.

Darrell and Morgan, I knew this was going to be a wedding to remember after our engagement session on Jekyll Island all the way back in March. I feel confident in saying that we walked away from that session knowing that we made the perfect match between a photographer and a bride and groom! I told Jonathon over and over again, “This one’s going to be GOOD.” Let’s face it, all weddings that we shoot are good in their own way. (We have the BEST clients!) But this was was going to be REALLY GOOD. And so it was!
