A timeless wedding under the live oaks of southern Georgia

Drew’s dad was handed the microphone for the toast and expressed his gratitude for the bond that was solidified in union earlier that day. He expressed his joy for seeing his boy so overcome with happiness and love for his bride.

His dad didn’t even have to say it. We all saw it on Drew’s face the entire day. As he anticipated his bride walking down the aisle towards him, he had a smile that spoke a thousand words yet said nothing at all.

Victoria was as calm and collected and she allowed us to see. I took her bridal portraits in the afternoon before the wedding and I could tell the excitement and nerves were swelling up inside! These are the moments that make me love what I do so much. I consider it an honor to be able to witness, capture, and be involved in such intimate moments! This is a day that Drew, Victoria, and their friends and family will remember forever! Reliving the day through these photos is just an added bonus!

The ceremony was filled with scripture, the presentation of the gospel and the description of what the union between husband and wife biblically represents. My oh my, does that warm my heart!

A few paragraphs cannot do this wedding day justice. The family was warm and welcoming, they made me feel like I was an invited guest! and Victoria and Drew were one of the kindest, sweetest couples that I’ve had the privilege to work with.

Here are a few noteworthy details from the day that I just have to write down

Victoria had to use this oak tree. There was one closer to the main building but she needed this one. You will see why. She was 100% right! The draped fabric and stunning lanterns made the whole scene look like a movie scene.

Her dress. Oh my goodness, y’all. This dress was made for her. She chose this bridal shop, Anya Bridal, in Atlanta, Georgia out of random because it shared the same name as her cat. I mean, OKAY! SURE! That works 🙂

The way Drew insisted on helping me adjust her dress. Over and over again. He was just the sweetest thing to her!

The wedding day was filled with these beautiful handcrafted “Sola Wood Flowers”. SO PRETTY!

The microphone was handed one by one to friends and family members that had such beautiful wishes for the bride and groom. These weren’t scripted toasts. They were straight from the heart.

Mrs. Joy, Victoria’s mother, and her honest, beautiful tears of joy that were shed for her baby girl. Thinking of my daughter’s future wedding days makes me feel this one deeply.

and the tireless workers in the background of this wedding day that showed up with serving hearts! You know who you are. What I witnessed on Saturday was a group of people selflessly serving and that was beautiful.
