Josh + Michaela

This timeless wedding in the historic district of Brunswick, Georgia was the perfect chapter to close the books to 2021. Josh and Mikki said their vows in the most breathtaking catholic church. Around the church stood majestic swaying oak trees, representing the history and significance of the area, only a few miles from the coast of Georgia.

When I first met Mikki, I stood her up. Yep, you heard that right. I completely stood her up for coffee.

I cannot believe I’m even writing this here for everyone to read because it was absolutely mortifying! I promise you, I am not in the habit of letting my brides wait on me, but time got away from me that morning and I looked at my phone to read, “Hey, I’m sitting outside at one of the tables.”

My heart sunk.

But she wasn’t phased or even irritated. She was kind to me, and she completely understood. There’s a reason I’ve decided to share this story. I’m telling you this because being with Josh and Mikki on their wedding day was a breath of fresh air. They were full of joy and anticipation at their life to come. Mikki was graceful, poised and completely down to earth. Josh was welcoming and joyful, surrounded by 7 handpicked men to witness his marriage to his beautiful bride!

The details of the day were beautifully designed and planned. Mikki’s Aunt, Marinel, took care of every decoration between St. Francis Xavier and the Brunswick Country Club where the reception was held. Marinel’s handiwork allowed the day to flow seamlessly and beautifully. Thank you, Marinel and all the other hands that helped make Mikki and Josh’s wedding day dreams come true!

Josh and Mikki, I wish you the absolute best. You have many adventures to share together. Enjoy your honeymoon, soak it up, and let these photos be a reminder of the love you have for each other.
