A fall wedding in Viola, Wisconsin – sign me up EVERY. TIME!

I’ve been anticipating this destination wedding since Brianna and Donavan booked back in 2020! Reliving the day through these images makes it surreal that it’s already come and gone.

You literally could not have had a more perfect day for a wedding! The venue – Oh, MY y’all – this venue was unreal. Butterflies filled my stomach as I twisted and turned down the country roads into this astounding scene atop hills of foliage in Viola, Wisconsin.

Getting here was no small feat either, but I’d do it over and over and over again! *wink, wink*

I’m serious – this was such a JOY to be a part of. Donovan and Brianna’s family and friends welcomed me like I was an old friend of the family. We laughed together and captured moments that will be held and remembered forever!

My absolute favorite part of the day was capturing the bride and groom’s personal vows. They met before the ceremony to share promises to one another. Between small tears and bursts of laughter, Donavan and Brianna laid their hearts out to one another before they officially said “I DO”!

Witnessing this convinced me that, if I was doing it all over again, private vows are the way to go. I love how intimate and soft the moments are. The bride and groom aren’t under the pressure of a crowd listening in. Lets be honest, the nerves of being in front of all of your friends and family can make you almost have a mind fog of memory – I know with all of my heart that the moments and Donovan and Brianna shared before their ceremony were some of the most impactful of the day. I’m getting butterflies just thinking about it!!

Mr. and Mrs. Risch – I am SO happy for you both. I can’t wait to see your family grow and I’m thrilled to know that you stepped off into your lives together in the very best way – completely in love and around the most important people in your lives. It was my pleasure to be there to witness and deliver these images!
